It has been reported that between January 200 and last August, John mackey under the alias "Rahodeb" (after his wife, Deborah's name). Mackey's mission was to enter Yahoo! Finance Message Boards and make nearly 1,400 posts to increase Whole Foods stocks and degrade Wild Oats, the company's past rival before their acquisition earlier this year. Mackey often criticized Wild Oat's former CEO, Perry Odak. ""While Odak was trying to figure out the business and conducting expensive 'research studies,' to help him figure things out, Whole Foods was signing and opening large stores in OATS territories. Odak drove off most of the long-term OATS natural foods managers" and brought in executives who "didn't know too much about the natural/organics industry or their customers" Stated Mackey in 2005. John Mackey also sent out e-mails and suggested to the government that the Wild Oats merger intent was to raise consumer pric

es concerning the competitive impact. The FTC has issued Mackey a lawsuit. This is very shocking to me because Whole Foods was on a positive track and their own CEO had to be the one to ruin it. Apparently, John Mackey needs a course in ethics because this is completely immoral. This fiasco is now going to escalate; it will eventually ruin the company's relations with Wild Oats. Could this mean a berak-up? I would not be surprised. The CEO was also caught bragging about himself, stating: "I like Mackey's haircut, I think he looks cute."
