Blabbing about XM Sirius Merger

Earlier this year, XM and Sirius entered into a merger that will create a satellite radio giant. XM and Sirius would each own half of the combined company. Both companies will have a combined 14 million subscribers and a $13 Billion market value. A new name or location for headquarters has not yet been determined. Sirius' CEO, Karmazin stated that "this combination is the next logical step in the evolution of audio entertainment." As a result of the merger, Sirius and XM hope to offer listeners a greater option where they can choose the channels they want such as XM's "Theme Time Radio Hour" with music legen Bob Dylan or Sirius' "Howard Stern" and "Martha Stewart Living Radio." Many people argue that this merger is a monopoly because there is no competition while others like me laud the idea. I think that the merger is brilliant, both companies realized that the consumer is "everything" in a business and listeners wanted all-in-one, and that's exactly what they got in return. I also like the idea of having exclusive celebrity channels on this one SiriusXM satellite radio. Now that's serious.
