Apple's New Album Download Service Raises Concerns of a Monopoly

Early this week, Apple unveiled a new iTunes service that had many street blabbers...well, BLABBING. Here is how it works: A customer owns a downloaded song for $.99 fee, the user can get the entire album bor $.99. Any songs on the album count as $.99 credit towards the total price if purchased before 180 days before album purchase date. The new service is entitled "Create My Album" and seemed reasonable until consumers voiced their opinion. There is one catch- any $.99 song being used for credit must have been purchased from iTunes. This is too controlling! In order to protect artists' rights they must create some type of service. Is this a monopoly? France already dislikes Apple for not allowing the iPod to play music from other devices. I want to hear what you think so BLAB ON!

  1. I have one thing to say bout that a big !HELL NO! who does apple think they are dictating to consumers who they should download or buy music from, aren't they forgetting, the consumers are the ones making them what they are and without them, they are just a name,i don't blame France for not liking them, imagine i-pod can't play music from other devices, how selfish. i would have loved to tell them what to do with this service, but my deepest respect to you and your blogg so i will refrain from doing so.
