The street is buzzing with yesterdays news of more than a dozen rats located at a New York City KFC. Note that this restaurant is several blocks from my school and I am guilty of eating there se

veral times! The rats were caught on tape running freely around the fast food restaurant. How were they caught on tape? Due to smart thinking by some local news stations who heard the "rat rumors" and decided to see for themselves. The rats were caught in the kitchen area, food storage rooms, bathrooms, and even crawling on chairs were customers are seated. Health inspect

ors made a visit in December of 2006 and noticed rat droppings in the store. However, KFC/Taco Bell received a passing grade! Currently, the restaurant is closed until it is immaculate. Yum Brands which owns KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut etc. have suffered through yet another embarrasing moment. This just following the Ecoli outbreak in numerous Taco Bells and now rat infestation in both KFC and Taco Bell. Could Pizza Hut be next? KFC released this short statement: "We have temporarily escalated the situation." New Yorkers are outraged!
Goodness gracious, this is unacceptable in any city or country, especially the U.S.A. who is so meticulous, when it comes to health and safety standards.I believe the dept of health and human services should take legal action against the parties involved.I'm from the caribbean and this use 2 be a problem in my country in years gone by, but not as horrible as what was shown. I'm just shelled shocked and dumfounded
