Dell Becomes Desperate

Dell... Hmmm let's see: the company has been under some pressure lately. Following the explosion of lapto batteries to a low perfoming stock and all of the other crap that the media uses to attack the struggling PC company that they just yesterday probably said "Dell is so brilliant... we love Dell Blab Blab Blab." Sorry, just needed to let that out. The company is attempting to expand their Dell Store to battle the current Apple Store. Dell currently has a flagship retail store in Texas and a few others accross the country (mainly inside shopping centers). The company stated that the new stores will not change their direct sales strategy. Most of their sales derive from direct mail catalogs. Notice that you hardly find Dell PC's for sale in retail stores like BestBuy, but they currently have a partnership with QVC, where they showcase their products for sale on television). I had and still do have high hopes for Dell, but I hate it when companies are struggling and they know that they are struggling and then pull a stunt like this in sudden desperation to make enemies with competition. I think Dell needs to just relax for a bit and then make a HUGE comeback for the holiday season. Do you think that Dell stands a chance against Apple's retail store chain, and what should they do to make a new positive brand for themselves? Leave a comment people.
