HP wants a Bite out of Symantec...or just settle for McAfee

After the recent buy out of Internet Security Systems (ISS) for $1.3 Billion from IBM, who has spent a total of $3.6 Billion on software mergers. IBM is not alone, others like Novell, purchased eSecurity, and EMC recently bought out RSA for $2.1 Billion. Now, Symantec and McAfee are becoming hot in the internet security industry. Secutiry is becoming a major priority for internet companies with a rise in viruses and hackers on the loose. But, it takes a lot to maintain security systems which is a reason why its on such high demand now-a-days. Word on the street today is that HP has their eye on buying out Symantec or McAfee. I think that its a grat move for the company... I have much respect for the security industry and any aquisitions... I'm for it. If this deal goes through, it can make HP the head rival of the big boy: Microsoft. What do you guys think? Is it a great move for HP? Drop in a comment and feel free to BLAB all ya want...
