Tech CrAzY: Microsoft competes with ipod

Microsoft released today that they are developing a new family of digital music and entertainment products under the umbrella titled: Zune. I think its a bold attempt to compete with Apple's ipod which has apparently been leading the sector of digital music and entertainment products. Microsoft did not disclose any details in their press release, but their general manager of marketing stated that, "...(we are forming) together technology and commputing to allow consumers to explore music together."Researchers say that Microsoft has played a role in the music market through software partnerships, and also that the company has had lots of oppurtunities to go after the ipod. I say go ahead and do your thing Microsoft... although the ipod will just simply dominate the crap outta ya (but hey who am I to judge... they did'nt let out details. Could this technology be even better than the ipod? What more can change the way we entertain ourselves? I'll keep you guys posted on this when more news rolls in to street blabber reporters).
