Ka Ching? Yahoo Answers YES!

The media has blabbered on and on that Google is trapping all the users away from it's biggest competitor Yahoo! For the most part that is true, but I must say, Yahoo! has stepped up to the plate this time. The recent release of Yahoo! Answers became a big hit and its now the second most popular Q&A site behind Wikipedia. Yahoo! Answers lures in 12.3 million monthly visitors. It offers a useful community for people seeking information and answers on just about anything from law, tax, health, random questions, to even math problems. Others like YouTube ranked in 13.4 million visitors for the month of June and Google Answers received 947,000 clicks. Yahoo! fits in pretty well. The company is not shivering under a rock like other companies mentioned here on StreetBlabber. The ones like AOL (who is now attempting to recover, I admire that in a company), MSN has yet to try and kick out the new guys which I hate. Management is key, only good management would know when competiton rolls in and when its time to roll em' out. Yahoo! is very smart in my opinion; they learned that yes, they can't compete (although they can) with Google's search service... but they can with other services that Google is lacking or just does not offer. Yahoo! can possibly become the next Google as a resource for answers. Tell us what you think about Yahoo! making a comeback with ANSWERS... drop in a comment.
