Time Warner FED UP with AOL

Management's are deciding the possibility of giving away web content. Last year at a press coference, Time Warner's CEO, Richard Parsons stated that AOL might be sold or eventually spun-off. This move will raise money for future aquisitions. Executives are keeping a close watch on AOL. Decisions will be based on whether AOL can lure in more users and advertisers into their network in order to replace lost dollars due to lack of dial-up and high speed subscribers to wildly popular growing ISP companies like Optimum and Road Runner just to name a few. I think AOL is in the dumps... the company is way behind (seems like they have yet to realize that we are in 2006 and not in the internet birth age). AOL needs some heavy management put into place just like Home Depot (cover story last weekend). This is a company I actually have no hopes for... they are just done. Although, Time Warner will most likely succeed without AOL under its belt.
