HELP Cynthia Lopez!

Another case of "corporate stupidity" is in the eye of the media today. This story involves a Tesoro gas station cashier who was held up at gun point and helped track down the robber. In response to her heroic efforts, the company fired her! Tesoro stated that Cynthia lost her job becuase her cash draw exceeded the $50 limit by $16. A Tesoro spokesperson said: "We do have policies on cash limits in registers to protect our employees' safety. We have a zero-tolerance policy." This company is very arrogant and plain 'stupid' to release that comment. That is a bad reason to fire a devoted employee. Cynthia Lopez was threatened by a masked robber at gunpoint and still managed to record the robber's licence plate number and clothing. This is absolutely absurd and something should be done about this. I noticed that many other blogs and media web-sites are hosting a 'Help Cynthia Lopez' campaign... and StreetBlabber would like to join the movement. We encourage our readers to help Cynthia Lopez get her job back by emailing the company directly. A word from Cynthia Lopez- "I feel betrayed".
