Motorola vs. Nokia SHOWDOWN

Ever so often I will give you guys an update on how specific companies are performing alongside their competitors (product wise). It'll be called SHOWDOWN articles or blogs...whatever you wanna call it. Today we start with Motorola and Nokia. Last week Motorola stated that profits were up 48% for the 2nd quarter. the launch of the consumer icon: The Motorola RAZR which has sold over 50 million in just 2 years has helped the company substain its popularity in the market. Motorola has plenty of new products waiting to be released. Nokia has recently stole the #1 spot of wireless phone manufacturers. Motorola has lost its position by developing products that have been boring and generic to consumers with the exception of the RAZR. The company has skipped several oppurtunities while being led by former CEO, Chris Galvin. Nokia also had its share of being hidden under a rock. The company missed tha large trend of wireless phones: the flip-style handset; but still hung on the top spot. With Motorola becoming "cool" with consumers due to the popular RAZR, the company may regain its title as #1. Now, Nokia is the one sweating bullets with their eye on Motorola. (NOTE: HEADS UP... STREET BLABBER WILL BE EXPANDING. CHECK OUT OUR BRAND NEW BLOG CALLED EYEontheFLOOR.blogspot.com >> stock picks updated daily.
